love the style. Any plans to do more in this style?

These are great! Exactly what I need for a short lil' game I've had in my head for a while. Excellent work!!

Thanks for packing everything and add character too!  I wanted those character xD

Your work is fantastic, the style on this is so clean. Sharp lines, great darks and light shades, amazing environment variety, etc.

Really inspiring pixel art! Makes me want to try a pack in this style.

Cheers!

I just got this tileset and I really like it. Could you add the chest as an opened version? Also a skeleton and bones would be nice and more stuff for dungeons.

Im glad you liked it! I'll try adding a alt version with the chests open sometime this week. Thank you for the suggestion

I like 3/4 top-down tile.

Hello, I aquired your tileset and have been using it for a Sega Saturn game (a flight simulator). Would it be possible to have like a looping water animation?

What is your license? Can I use derivatives of certain tiles?

I have been planning to credit all creators of licensed assets and I'm sure I'll use the rest of this great tileset in a future project as well.

This looks great! I want to make a Fire Emblem-like game using this sprite. Do you have any recommended character sprite packs that would work well with these tilesets?

Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

Unfortunately I dont know of any specific character pack that would work. I thought about making one myself, but freelancing and having a bunch of personal projects kinda put that in low priority.

Judging by the looks of the pack, any sprite bases/sheets that are based on the old GameBoy Color Pokémon games could work?

Obviously you can't use sprites from the actual games but a lot of fans have made resources for fan games and romhacks of Pokémon!

Are you still looking for character sprites?

Hello! This tileset is amazing. I was wondering if you were offering character sprites that are compatible with this tileset? Whether free or paid, I think a lot of us would be interested :)

Is there a way to use this set to draw a custom game board? I want to create a board game for my kids and this is the EXACT tile set I've bene looking for.

You could use Tiled for that. Tiled is a map creation tool that allows you to export  the maps to a image file format, and it is what I used to create the map examples you see here!

FANTASTIC thank you so much this is amazing. It's been a dream of mine to do something like this.

Where did your get the character sprites from or do you have a recommendation for master/character in a similar style.

Another person here asking if these assets can be used in commercial projects.

Yes you can :D

What's the license on this? Commercial? Derivatives? Redistribution? In your interior tileset bundle, the following was said:

"I dont know a lot about licenses but as long you dont resell or redistribute it you can edit and use it as you like for as many projects as you'd like."

"Can I use this resource for commercial games?"
"Yes, you can!"

Please take a look at the Creative Commons licenses. I'm sure you can find one you are happy with

(+1)

Yeah, I'm currently working on figuring this stuff out. Thank you for suggesting Creative Commons, I took a look and wasnt too sure about any of them but I'll keep looking.

I don't wanna commit to anything without being sure first.  I'll probably put together a little FAQ at the very least this week.

What I can tell you is that you're free to use it in as many   commercial projects as you want and you can edit it as you want. The only thing you can't do is sell or redistribute the tileset itself in raw format. For example: lets say you build a map creation tool for your game, you need some way to protect the png file  so that way people can't just go to the  editor's folder and grab the file and start using it themselves for their own projects without having to buy it from here.

Hopefully that asnwers most questions? Let me know if theres anything else you'd like me to clear up

Commercial use? Probably won't use it for that purpose, but I like to sort my assets.

You are allowed to use it for commecial projects!

I love this too. Do you have plan to make other "old JRPGs" tileset?

Hey there! Im glad you liked it! Currently I'm pretty busy working on some projects so Im not sure if I'll be able to work on any new assets for the near future.

I love this, do you work for hire ? I need some specific work done :)

Yes I do commissioned work :D

ooo, okay! I will very likely take you up on something relatively soon. What would be the best way to contact you ? You can email me at Nyankogamingdev@gmail.com :)

I love this so much ^-^

Why not include  character sprites, or create a new project about the  character sprites?

(1 edit) (+1)

I enjoy working mostly on environmental art, that's why I only made the tileset. The character sprites you see in the screenshots only have that single frame done, which is why I didn't include them in.

Tha being said, I might actually do a pack for a few sprites in the near future :)

Its a good set, a little light for $10.

Feel free to add any future updates I would love an update to this.

Thank you for your feedback! At the moment I'm currently working on updating my other platformers tilesets, but I may go back to this in the future :D
